During 2019 all three churches are reviewing their individual Mission Action Plans to better serve the Parish with the love of Christ.
The Diocese of Southwark has made a commitment to using the ‘Five Marks of Mission’ to shape the MAP process in our parishes. The Rev’d Canon Jay Colwill – Canon Missioner for Southwark Cathedral has recently visited the Parish churches to support us and guide us with our Mission Action Planning.
The Five Marks of Mission:
- To proclaim the Good News of the Kingdom
- To teach, baptise and nurture new believers
- To respond to human need by loving service
- To transform unjust structures of society, to challenge violence of every kind and pursue peace and reconciliation
- To strive to safeguard the integrity of creation, and sustain and renew the life of the earth
